A Mississippi man has been arrested for aggravated animal cruelty after posting on Facebook a picture of a dog he shot and killed in Washington Parish. Brent Jones with the Sheriff’s Office says they discovered the shooting happened in Clifton, Louisiana. He says Todd Hammond was questioned after officers saw his online post. He says Hammond was also issued a violation for not having a hunting license in Louisiana.

 

Another Destrehan High School teacher is under arrest for allegedly having sex with one of her female students. St. Charles Parish Sheriff Greg Champagne says  26-year-old Kimberly Naquin was charged with carnal knowledge of a juvenile and prohibited sexual conduct between educator and student. Two other Destrehan teachers have cases pending  where they allegedly had three-way sexual encounter with a  male student. Champagne says these cases are bewildering…:

A third teacher from  Destrehan High School has been arrested for allegedly having sex with one of her female students who was 16 when the relationship started. St. Charles Parish Sheriff Greg Champagne says they booked 26-year-old Kimberly Naquin with carnal knowledge of a juvenile and prohibited sexual conduct between educator and student. Champagne says Naquin’s bond is set at $75,000, with several conditions…:

He says they are always looking for incriminating online posts.

Palermo is sure this is not the last we’ll hear about the split.

Walmart has announced the company will be closing 269 stores worldwide, including 8 in Louisiana. LSU Marketing Professor Dan Rice says Walmart is trying to cut out the stores where they aren’t as profitable. He says the company realized they need to be smart about where they’re spending money.

LSU Marketing Professor Dan Rice says Walmart is trying to cut out the stores where they aren’t making as much money, like Walmart Express. Rice says 95% of the Walmart stores closing have another store within 10 miles in the United States.

LSU running backs coach/recruiting coordinator Frank Wilson was named Friday as the new head coach for UTSA football. Wilson is the second LSU coach to leave this offseason. Defensive coordinator Kevin Steele left for Auburn last month. LSU head coach Les Miles said in a statement they are going to miss Wilson who’s been a big part of what they’ve been able to accomplish.

LSU baseball assistant coach Will Davis will become Lamar University’s head coach following the conclusion of the 2016 season. Davis will take over for head coach Jim Gilligan, who is retiring at the conclusion of this season.

LSU’s draft eligible junior cornerback, Tre’Davious White, says he’s not going to reveal his decision about whether or not he’s staying with The Tigers or entering the NFL Draft until Monday, according to reports.

The Sun Belt Conference announced Friday all of the opponents that teams will play during the upcoming 2016 football season. ULM’s home slate will include Idaho, South Alabama, Texas State and UL Lafayette. The Warhawks will hit the road for games at Appalachian State, Arkansas State, Georgia Southern and Georgia State. The Ragin Cajuns will host Appalachian State, Arkansas State, Idaho and South Alabama and travel to Georgia Southern, ULM, New Mexico State and Texas State.

UL-Lafayette coach Mark Hudspeth announced senior Jalen Nixon will officially be moved to running back this season. This means sophomore Jordan Davis and redshirt freshman Chris Weaver will compete for the starting QB job.

The St. Charles Parish Sheriff’s Office has arrested another teacher from Destrehan High School accused of having sex with a female student. 26-year-old Kimberly Naquin’s charges include carnal knowledge of a juvenile and prohibited sexual conduct between educator and student. Kenner Police have an arrest warrant out for Naquin for 10 counts of felony carnal knowledge of a juvenile as investigators believe most of the sexual encounters happened there at the suspect’s apartment. Naquin is the daughter of the St. Charles Parish School Board president.
