Alexandria Police arrested an employee at Rapides Regional Medical Center for allegedly raping a patient who is suffering from dementia. It’s been reported another employee caught 27-year-old Juantavies White of Alexandria in the act. White has been charged with first-degree rape.

Champion Home Builders will invest $1.3 million to build manufactured homes in the Vernon Parish town of Leesville. Mayor Rick Allen says the facility will be located in Leesville’s Northside Industrial Park, which has been vacant and added unnecessary costs on the town for 17 years:
