Governor Bobby Jindal issues an executive order to protect a teachers’ right to freedom of speech. The order comes after Jindal says he read in the Alexandria Town Talk that a Rapides teacher got in trouble for critizing Common Core on her Facebook Page. Louisiana Federation of Teachers spokesperson Les Landon supports Jindal’s action:

The executive order is directed towards school administrators and Jindal makes it clear a teacher’s constitutional freedom of speech shall not be denied.

American Horror Story: Freak Show, the FX anthology series which was shot in New Orleans, debuts tonight. Louisiana Entertainment Executive Director Chris Stelly says New Orleans provides such a perfect backdrop for a horror show like this…:

The Shreveport Police Department has arrested three people on charges related to human trafficking and prostitution. Corporal Marcus Hines says the trio was arrested at a motel on Monkhouse Drive after they recieved information of suspected illegal activity…:

This is a joint operation with the FBI’s Child Exploitation Task Force. He says a crime occurs when someone transports a person across state lines for the purpose of prostitution.

In Jackson, Louisiana two teen-aged boys have been arrested for allegedly attempting to rape a special needs girl at East Feliciana High School. Eighteen year-old Jacobey Johnson of Clinton and 18 year-old Breeon Lee of Jackson were each arrested for attempted aggravated rape, and their bond was set at $200 thousand dollars each.
