A Bossier City pastor was arrested on drug charges after deputies found Methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia at his house. Andy Harris was the senior pastor of The Church of the Cross in Haughton, and was charged with possession. Bossier Parish Sheriffs Lt. Bill Davis says his office will not comment on a separate investigation they were questioning about, but says the drugs do not appear to be related to Harris’s job as a pastor.

A 23-year-old Metairie man faces two counts of attempted second degree after he allegedly stabbed his mother and father and then led deputies on a chase early this morning. Jefferson Parish Sheriff’s Lt. Jason Rivarde says Travis Tyler admitted to attacking his mother following a verbal altercation that began because she wanted him to be quiet. After his father was awakened by the disturbance, Tyler attacked him also. Tyler was arrested after a car chase in his parent’s car.
