State Police say a single vehicle motorcycle crash in Jefferson Davis Parish has claimed the life of a Lake Charles man. They say, for unknown reasons, a motorcycle driven by 38-year-old Jared Daigle traveled off the roadway and struck a culvert, ejecting Daigle from the vehicle. Daigle was pronounced dead at the scene. Authorities believe impairment to be a factor in the crash. Their investigation is ongoing.

A statewide day of prayer for law enforcement takes place in Louisiana today. State Police Colonel Mike Edmonson says people should remember the danger these men and women are in daily and this prayer rally will allow people to be thankful for the officers…

Governor Bobby Jindal is hosting a public prayer rally at the Capitol at 11:30 this morning where residents can gather to pray for the men and women serving the state.
