Looking ahead to next season, the SEC schedule came out today. The Tigers will kick off league play on September 21st at Vanderbilt. There’s also two bye weeks, September 28th and November 2nd, before Bama.
It’s Falcons week for the Saints. Both teams are off today after winning their first games of the season on Sunday. Atlanta is dealing with some injuries. Running back Devonta Freeman is expected to miss Sunday’s game with a knee injury. The Falcons defense is missing linebacker Deion Jones and Keanu Neal. Neal is done for the year with an ACL, while Jones is on I-R with a foot injury.
Grambling’s offense has struggled through the first two games of the season, but they are hoping Jordan Jones can provide a spark at running back. He missed the first two games and he’ll play in Saturday’s SWAC opener against Alabama State.
Sun Belt play begins this weekend for UL Lafayette and ULM. The Warhawks host Troy. The Trojans are a co-favorite to win the Sun Belt Eastern Division. Coastal Carolina was picked to finish last in that division and the Ragin Cajuns get them at home this Saturday.
