A federal jury in New York found aspiring agent Christian Dawkins guilty of conspiracy to commit bribery and bribery. He was facing six counts. Former Adidas consultant Merl Code was also convicted of conspiracy to commit bribery. They will be sentenced at a later date.
Two of the six LSU basketball players who entered the NBA draft process have been invited to partcipate in next week’s NBA draft combine. Point guard Tremont Waters and Forward Naz Reid are among the 66 players invited to work in front of coaches and scouts from all 30 teams.
The Saints have announced the signing of wide receiver and return specialist Deonte Harris to a three-year contract. Harris is five-foot-six and played at Assumption College, the same Massachusetts school that produced former LSU kicker Cole Tracey. Harris is the all-time leader in the NCAA for combined return touchdowns, with 14. He also caught 41 passes during his senior season for an 18-yard average and had eight TDs.
