The Ragin Cajuns will face Arizona again tonight after losing to the Wildcats six to three today in the championship round of the Lafayette Regional. UL Lafayette fell behind five to nothing today and never could recover. Cajuns starting pitcher Evan Guillory failed to record an out and gave up three runs. The winner take all match-up is at 7 PM.

The LSU Tigers will face the Rice Owls tonight at the Box as Rice is on its way to beating Southeastern Louisiana to advance to the Baton Rouge Regional championship round. The Tigers beat Rice four to two last night as Greg Deichmann hit an inside-the-park grand slam in the first inning….

The ball Deichmann hit got stuck underneath a bullpen bench, which allowed the bases to be cleared.

ESPN’s Adam Schefter says the Saints are interested in Dallas Cowboys guard Ronald Leary. The 27-year-old is involved in a contract dispute with Dallas and has asked to be traded. Leary was a fulltime starter for Dallas in 2013 and 2014 and last season he was replaced by former LSU Tiger La’el Collins.

The Louisiana Tech baseball team is back in Ruston today after it’s remarkable season came to an end last night in the Starkville Regional. Mississippi State blanked the Bulldogs four to nothing to advance to the Super Regionals. Tech, who was in the NCAA Tournament for the first time in 29 years, finishes the 2016 season with a 42-20 record.

Tulane’s season also ended last night as the Green Wave fell to Boston College, who is the champion of the Oxford Regional. JP France suffered the loss on the mound as the Green Wave finished with a record of 41-22.
