Former ULM Quarterback and Calvary Baptist Head Coach Doug Pederson has led the Philadelphia Eagles to their third appearance in the Super Bowl. Pederson’s Eagles easily beat the Minnesota Vikings 38-7 to reach Super Bowl 52, where they’ll play the New England Patriots, the defending Super Bowl champs.

ESPN’s Mel Kiper’s mock draft does have a single team taking LSU edge rusher Arden Key in the first round. But draft analyst Mike Detillier believes Key will be a first-round selection, because he could be a huge asset for 3-4 defense…

Detillier says some NFL teams may stay away from Key, because he dealt with injuries last season and off the field issues.

Former LSU quarterback Lindsey Scott plans to continue his college career at another SEC school. Scott says he’ll sign with Missouri after helping East Mississippi to a fourth national junior college championship. Scott left LSU last August after a standout prep career at Zachary.

Louisiana Tech and North Carolina State have agreed to play each other in football in 2021, 2024 and 2025. The Wolfpack will visit the Bulldogs in 2025.

NBA….the Bulls visit the Pelicans tonight at the Smoothie King Center. The Pels have won 5 of their last seven, while Chicago has won 15 of its last 23, since starting with a 3-20 record.

In college baseball…Tiger Rag Magazine Reports Sean Ochinko will serve as the team’s hitting coach, because last year’s hitting coach, Micah Gibbs, suffered a bad knee injury while playing pickup basketball. Ragin Cajuns pitcher Gunner Leger has decided to redshirt this season, after undergoing elbow surgery.
