After throwing zero touchdown passes and six interceptions the two previous games, Quarterback Drew Brees bounced back to complete 77-percent of his passes for 389 yards and four touchdowns against one of the best defenses in the NFL yesterday. The victory improves the Saints record to six and eight and they still have a slight chance to make the playoffs. New Orleans closes out the home schedule this Saturday against Tama Bay. The Bucs lost to Dallas 26 to 20 yesterday.

LSU running back Leonard Fournette has signed with an agency. He’ll be represented by Jay Z’s management group Roc Nation.

The state’s top quarterback, Lowell Narcisse, has re-committed to LSU. The St. James star was also serioulsy considering Auburn, but made the decision to attend LSU after speaking with new offensive coordinator Matt Canada. Narcisse will graduate in December and should be on LSU’s campus next month.

The LSU men’s basketball team hosts College Charletson tonight at the Pete Maravich Assembly Center. Charleston beat the Tigers by 12 points last year and they are 8-3 this season, while the Tigers are 7-2. Also tonight….McNeese State is at Tulane and Northwestern State visits Rice. The Demons are looking for their fourth straight win.

The Pelicans are off tonight. New Orleans lost to San Antonio 113 to 100 last night. Anthony Davis was held to a dozen points and four rebounds in 30 minutes of action. The Pels complete a three-game road trip on Wednesday when they visit 76ers. One of Philadelphia’s 7 wins on the season came against New Orleans earlier this month.
