Some strange crime stories today….in Lafayette a homeowner fatally shot a man who was naked in his backyard. Lafayette Police Corporal Bridgette Dugas says the naked man was armed and pronounced dead at the scene…

Dugas says they are still trying to determine why the man was naked, carrying a gun and in this person’s backyard. No charges have been filed.
Baton Rouge Police rescued a teenager from a chimney this morning after he decided to skip school. Cpl. L’Jean McKneely says the homeowner called the police when she heard someone calling for help inside her chimney…

McKneely says the 15-year-old has been charged with attempted burglary of an inhabited dwelling.
Monroe-based CenturyLink announces company wide layoffs. Spokesperson Annmarie Sartor says because they are starting with voluntary layoffs, they are not sure on the local impact. But she says if they do not reach their goal, they will have to begin involuntary layoffs. The company has about 43-thousand employees globally…:
