The city of Natchitoches and Mayor Lee Posey is facing a lawsuit for banning the Confederate flag at last year’s Christmas Parade. The Sons of Confederate Veterans in Louisiana is asking a federal judge to declare the policy that prohibits displaying Confederate battle flags at the parade as unconstitutional. The division’s former commander, Thomas Taylor, says the flag-carry members participated in the parade for two decades without causing any problems.
