Governor Jeff Landry issues his first state of emergency. Landry signed an executive order Friday ahead of the severe cold weather expected to impact Louisiana between Sunday January 14th and Wednesday the 17th. Entergy says they are taking the action out of an abundance of caution for customer safety in the expected prolonged freezing temperatures in Louisiana.
