Not a lot of movement in the governor’s race thus far according to the last poll by Triumph Campaigns. Eric Gill reports…:

And speaking of polls there are a couple of new ones out there showing Governor Bobby Jindal gaining support in Iowa in his bid for the White House. An NBC/Marist Poll shows 4 percent of Iowa caucus-goers plan to vote for Jindal for President which is up 1 percent from July. There is also a Gravis Poll which shows Jindal at 5 percent.
The Louisiana Department of Wildlife and Fisheries is commending one of their agents who rescued 8 people from the Gulf over the weekend in Vermilion Parish when a horrible storm blew through. LDWF spokesman Adam Einck says Sgt. Nicholas Guillory got a call about a vessel which began taking on water near Pecan Island. He says the agent then made his way out there as quickly as possible in conditions that were extremely hard to navigate because of the storm…:

14th ranked LSU is getting ready to face 25th ranked Mississippi State on Saturday night in Starkville. The Bulldogs have been tough to beat at home the last couple of years as they’ve recently expanded their stadium, plus there’s thousands of cow bells going off during the game.
