An executive order has been signed by Governor Bobby Jindal who wants to keep Syrian refugees from coming to Louisiana. State Police Col Mike Edmonson said today that the feds do a very poor job of communicating information about Syrian refugees who are coming into Louisiana. The state department says there are 14 currently residing in Louisiana.

According to the latest poll on Louisiana’s runoff elections Saturday, Attorney General Buddy Caldwell could be in some trouble keeping his seat. The incumbent trails fellow GOP opponent Jeff Landry by 21 points in the JMC Analytics survey. Pollster John Couvilion says Landry is advertising more and it was a bad sign for Caldwell to get just 35% in the primary…:

In the governor’s race, Democrat John Bel Edwards had 51% of the vote and Republican David Vitter had 35%. The final debate is this evening.

Even though rumors were going around all morning that the Saints had fired defensive coordinator Rob Ryan, Head Coach Sean Payton says not so fast. Payton said Monday morning there had been no staffing changes..yet. New Orleans lost an ugly game to Washington yesterday allowing 514 yards of total offense and NFL analyst Mike Detillier says the time has come for the Saints to let Ryan go…
