A study from the Harvard Medical School and the University of California finds about one in five employees feel like they work in a hostile or threatening environment. University of New Orleans Business Professor Mark Rosa says this is surprising with the increase in the amount of laws aimed against sexual harassment and bullying in the workplace.

A Lincoln Parish man has been arrested for a double homicide after reporting himself to the police. Major Steven Williams says yesterday, John Nichols confessed he shot Anthony and Rachel Denicola. He says the couple lived on property owned by the Nichols’ family and Nichols contacted authorities about evicting the family months before the deadly incident.

The Humane Society of Louisiana is offering a reward for information leading to the arrest of the individual responsible for the shooting a three-legged family dog in Acadia Parish. Director Jeff Dorson says the Lejeune family couldn’t find their Schnauzer mix, Jack, after he wandered off…

Starting quarterback for the Ragin Cajuns, Senior Darius Hoggins, suffered a non-football related injury and might not be back for the September 2nd season opener. UL-Lafayette head coach Mark Hudspeth says Hoggins fell while texting and walking and broke is jaw and knocked out a few teeth. Hoggins missed this Saturday’s scrimmage due to his injury.
