A Denham Springs driver has died after hitting a horse that was standing in the middle of US 190 in Livingston Parish. State Trooper Bryan Lee says 24-year-old Joshua Marange and the horse were killed in the accident. He advises drivers to call *LSP if they see hazards in the roadway.

A Baton Rouge teen has been rescued from a chimney after he got stuck. BRPD Cpl L’Jean McKneely says the 15-year-old has been charged with attempted burglary of an inhabited dwelling, and he does have a criminal record. He says hopefully they can prevent this kid from doing something like this again because his life was in danger.

A naked man was shot while holding a gun in a Lafayette homeowner’s backyard. Cpl. Bridgette Dugas says they are working to figure out why the naked man was in the yard on Fanny Street.
