Former Monroe TV children’s show personality Frank Selas will stand trial on child molestation charges on February 5th. That’s the word from his attorney Mike Small. Selas, also known as Mr. Wonder, allegedly raped a child during a 1979 camping trip in Rapides Parish. He has pleaded not guilty to all charges.

An eight month old baby is dead after the infant’s care giver left the child in a vehicle for 8.5 hours by mistake. Tangipahoa Parish Sheriff’s spokeswoman Dawn Panepinto says the guardian drove to daycare to pick up the infant, but he wasn’t there, instead he was still in his car seat.

Panepinto says they are turning over the case to the district attorneys office.

With the Louisiana black bear population increasing, the likelihood of bear-versus-human encounters grows. State Department of Wildlife and Fisheries bear expert Maria Davidson says there’s a new website called bear-wise-dot-org, which helps people who have never had to deal with bears before….
