A state judge in New Orleans sentences Cardell Hayes to 25 years in prison without parole for the shooting that killed former Saints star Will Smith and injured his wife Raquel. He was facing a sentence between 20 and 60 years. Four months ago, Hayes was found guilty of manslaughter and attempted manslaughter.

A personal assistant to federal judge Patricia Minaldi in Lake Charles, who is recovering from a condition caused by alcohol abuse, is under arrest for allegedly using the judge’s credit cards and checks. Calcasieu Parish Sheriff’s Office spokesperson Kim Myers says 28-year-old Justin Gray is accused of racking up charges without permission in excess of $64,000…:
