Danny strengthened enough this morning to become the first hurricane of the 2015 season. State Climatologist Barry Keim says Danny could become a Category 2 storm in the next couple of days. He says as Hurricane Danny moves toward the Caribbean, it will hit an area of higher wind shear that will likely weaken the storm…:

He says hurricane Danny is tracked to move over the Lesser Antilles Monday morning then Puerto Rico Tuesday morning.

The DeSoto Parish Sheriff’s Office has arrested a teenager who confessed to stabbing his aunt to death because the devil made him. Sheriff Rodney Arbuckle says the teen committed the horrible act while his aunt, Yolanda Hunter, was sleeping and she died later at a hospital..:

The teen is charged with second degree murder.

President Obama will be one of many visiting New Orleans next week to commemorate the 10th anniversary of Hurricane Katrina. Former Presidents George W. Bush and Bill Clinton now say they plan to come as well and meet with residents to honor the city and commend them for beating the odds and coming back after the devastating effects of the storm.
