A woman accused of shooting a state Department of Wildlife and Fisheries agent in Morehouse Parish during a traffic stop in January pleaded guilty to all four counts against her.  31-year-old Amethyst Baird of Monroe pled guilty of first-degree attempted murder of a police officer, obstructing justice, and illegal possession of a stolen vehicle and firearm.  Baird remains in custody pending her sentencing January 26.

Officials say over 300 ate contaminated food in Caldwell Parish last week connected to a salmonella outbreak. 149 were diagnosed with gastrointestinal illness, 37 of whom were admitted to the hospital.  Public Officer of Health for Central Louisiana Dr. David Holcombe says they are still determining if a fatality is connected to the outbreak…

Gas prices are on a slow decline, but motorists are still paying more than they did at this time last year. AAA fuel analyst Don Redman says the statewide average price for regular gasoline is $2.22….
