Governor John Bel Edwards says Virginia-based DXC Technology will open a New Orleans office that will employ two-thousand people. Officials are calling it the single largest jobs announcement in the city’s modern history. An exact location for the facility has yet to be decided, but it will be downtown. Average salaries of for those working there will be 63-thousand dollars.

LSU Atheltics Director Joe Alleva is raising concerns about a provision in the House GOP tax bill that ends a tax deduction for donating money for the right to purchase premium seating at university sporting events. Alleva says it will likely result in fewer donations to the athletic department, resulting in less revenue…

Louisiana’s pecan crop is not expected to reach the original projection of 15-million pounds, but LSU AgCenter Associate Professor Charlie Graham says there will still be plenty to go around for the holiday season and at the right price. He says Pointe Coupee Parish is one area where we won’t see as many pecans as first thought….
