Nascent Technologies Corporation on the LSU campus has recieved two cybersecurity contracts totalling nearly five-million dollars from the U.S. Department of Defense. The president of the Herndon Magnet Parent-Teacher-Student Association has been arrested for theft. Caddo Sheriff’s Office spokesperson Cindy Chadwick says 47-year-old Vera Dunfey of Shreveport headed the association and an investigation began in August of 2016 when an audit showed money was missing from the PTSA fund.
