Today during a Lt. Governor candidate forum in Baton Rouge, Democrat Mayor Kip Holden and Republican Senator Elbert Guillory duked it out over Guillory’s use of the N-Word in his campaign commercials. Holden said he doesn’t feel that it does anyone any good to throw the word around like that. Guillory responded calling Holden an idiot who obviously didn’t watch the commercial.

The Shreveport Police Department announces a $5,000 reward is now being offered for murdered officer Thomas LaValley’s department issued weapon which is still missing. Officer LaValley was shot and killed in the line of duty early August allegedly by 27-year-old Grover Cannon. Authorities say the reward will be given to anyone who has information as to where the missing Glock 22, .40 caliber handgun can be found.
