Forecasters are watching an area of low pressure over southern Florida that’s expected to move into the Gulf of Mexico. A shooting in the parking lot of a Monroe daycare center has left a man hospitalized in stable condition. Monroe Police say 32-year-old Marlando Honeycut was shot in the face and chest area by his girlfriend’s ex-husband, Lemerick Christopher. Christopher fled the scene, but was apprehended a short time later.
