Louisiana State Police say a 29-year-old man from Cedar Hill, Texas walked into Troop I in Lafayette this week with a Glock in a leather holster on his hip and told troopers he wanted to turn himself in. They say once troopers noticed Allen Norris had a gun they took him into custody.

There are a bunch of new jobs coming to Louisiana and not even residents here to fill them up accorindg to the state Department of Economic Development.
