A TV station in Baton Rouge is reporting a horse fell on top of West Feliciana Parish Sheriff Austin Daniel at the Angola Prison rodeo on Sunday. They say as a result the sheriff suffered four broken ribs, a punctured lunch and a broken collarbone. A family member told the station Daniel is expected to make a full recovery, but it will take a long time.
The East Baton Rouge Parish Sheriff’s office says an 18-year-old is in jail on murder charges for allegedly killing someone over a cell phone. Spokeswoman Casey Rayborn Hicks says they received a call last night where the victim, 24-year-old Hancy Sanchez, is reported to have been approached by a man who asked to use his cell phone…:

That’s when the witness reported 18-year-old James Mills shot Sanchez in the head. The suspect is charged with first degree murder.
LSU head coach Les Miles held his weekly press conference today with reporters and said the spot for starting QB is once again between Brandon Harris and Anthony Jennings but they won’t decide until later in the week who will hit the field first in Florida Saturday. Harris left the Auburn game with a boot on his foot but Miles says Brandon will practice today.
