Tony the Tiger, the roadside attraction who was housed at the Tiger Truck Stop in Grosse Tete, has been euthanized. The Animal Legal Defense Fund fought in court for years to have Tony removed from captivity. Chief Michael Harrison says 45-year-old Mark Hambrick told police God made him do it; and the father called to report what he’d done himself.
