Louisiana State Police say a pedestrian was struck and killed this morning around 1am in Lafourche Parish. They say a GMC Sierra was traveling on LA 316 in Houma when it hit 29-year-old Tyler Authement (Oh-De-Mah) who was walking in the same lane. The pedestrian was pronounced dead at the scene. Impairment is not suspected on the part of the driver of the Sierra and no charges have been filed at this time.
Record temperatures were recorded throughout southeast Louisiana over night. Baton Rouge hit 27 degrees which broke the previous record of 28 degrees back in 1930. Andrew Ansorge (An-Sore-Gy) with the National Weather Service says the high pressure that settled the cold air in last night is going to start to move off to the east today..:

Two bodies were found in Lake Pontchartrain this morning and authorities believe they were on board a plane that crashed into the lake last week. New Orleans Office of Homeland Security and Emergency Preparedness, Colonel Jerry Sneed, says the first body was located at 7:15 AM….:
