New data from the Bureau of Labor and Statistics shows Louisiana’s unemployment rate for October was 4.8-percent, the lowest it’s been since June of 2008. Louisiana Workforce Commission Executive Director Ava Dejoie says this is the sixth consecutive month the rate has declined. She says we’ve had four industry super sectors that have reached all-time record highs this year…:

She credits many programs to helping those unemployed in the Bayou State find work.

A strong cold front will cross Louisiana Saturday, reminding us it’s winter time. C.S. Ross with the National Weather Service says come Monday, temperatures will be in the mid to upper 30s across the state…:

The Saints go after their eighth straight win on Sunday when they host the Redskins. New Orleans is coming off a 47-10 victory over the Buffalo Bills where they rushed for 298 yards. Running back Mark Ingram says they came into the season wanting a strong running attack and so far they’ve been able to do it…:
