Louisiana has received a one million dollar job training grant from the federal government that will be used to help unemployed workers and veterans join the workforce in North Louisiana. Governor Bobby Jindal is shifting more of his staff to begin work on his likely presidential campaign. Jindal’s Chief of Staff, Kyle Plotkin, resigned from his post to begin working on the governor’s presidential campaign exploratory committee. Plotkin will be joined by former deputy communications director Shannon Dirmann. Melissa Mann, the governor’s Director of Legislative Affairs, will assume the role of Chief of Staff. Jindal is expected to formally announce his run for the Republican presidential nomination Wednesday in Kenner.
