State film leaders are urging Governor Bobby Jindal to veto legislation that would cap the state’s film tax credit at $180 million. The Red River in Bossier/Shreveport is now below flood stage for the first time in several weeks. Mario Valverde with the National Weather Service, says the river has fallen below 30 feet, which is flood stage:

The city of Lafayette has been tapped as one the top All American vacation spots for 2015 by the Travel Channel.
