Former New Orleans Mayor Mitch Landrieu tells Politico he doesn’t know if he’ll seek the Democratic nomination for President in 2020. Landrieu gained a national following for his time spent at the head of New Orleans during the tumultuous post-Katrina recovery years, and more recently for his role in the removal of Confederate monuments that dotted the city. UNO Political Science Professor Ed Chervanek says Landrieu has gained the attention, and interest of national establishment Democrats who are looking to unseat Donald Trump.
