A Shreveport man will serve five years in jail after admitting to Bigamy. Matt Doyle has the story.

Two Jonesboro men have been arrested and charged with arson with attempt to defraud, and criminal conspiracy after allegedly setting a 2016 Chrysler 300 on fire. State Fire Marshal Spokesperson Ashley Rodrigue says local security cameras caught Anthony Burns and David Caldwell red handed.

Rodrigue says Anthony Burns was looking to cut back on his hefty car note.

The family of a murdered New Orleans teenager chose a unique manner to honor his memory by displaying his body as he lived: playing video games and surrounded by snacks.  The images of the teen’s wake are spreading across the internet.  Embalmer and Funeral Director for Charbonnet Funeral Home, Stephanie Simon, says When it comes to the national attention the funeral home is getting, she says it’s just part of the job.

Governor John Bel Edwards is asking the Restore Flood task to expand the 2016 flood recovery grant program to expand grant reimbursement eligibility to 100 percent, up from the current 50 percent. Edwards’ Communications Director Shauna Sanford says this change means 110 million more dollars could be dispersed to thousands of Louisianans.
