Saints fans’ suit over the ending of the NFC championship game can move forward after Orleans Parish District Court Judge Nicole Sheppard denied a motion that would have dismissed the suit. The judge also ruled that Attorney Tony LeMon could get the chance to question NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell and referees involved in the game under oath.

Alexandria Police are investigating the death of 5-year-old girl after she was brought to an emergency room, deceased with her throat cut. The mother reported that her daughter’s injuries were an accident. Police have not made any arrests, but they are investigating the death as a possible homicide. The Town Talk newspaper reports the mother’s 4-year-old son died in April choking on a soda cap and the father of the children died in 2016.
