Voters can also visit www.sos.la.gov for information and there’s still time to early vote till 6 pm today, or between 8:30 am and 6:00 pm on Saturday. State offices are closed tomorrow to recognize Veterans Day.

Louisiana Native Lanie Wilson was a big winner in The Country Music Awards that aired on ABC last night! Wilson’s win in five categories in one year ties the record first set by Johnny Cash in 1969. The 31-year-old from Baskin led the competition with nine nominations and recalled how significant her ninth year was as a child.

Louisiana Congresswoman Julia Letlow has introduced bipartisan legislation to increase access to childcare for small businesses. Letlow says the Childcare Small Business Insight and Improvement Act would require the U.S. Small Business Administration to conduct a study on the needs and challenges of for-profit childcare providers and identify resources. Since the pandemic, Letlow says many working mothers had to leave the workforce.
