In Lafayette, a male victim was discovered in the burnt rumble of a house fire on Evangeline Thruway. The body has not been identified and two firefighters also sustained minor injuries while dousing the blaze. A nearby neighbor told a Lafayette TV station says he’s seen a few homeless people staying in abandoned homes in the neighborhood. The investigation is ongoing.
