Louisiana nursing homeowner Bob Dean will avoid jail time, after pleading no contest to eight counts of cruelty to the infirm, five counts of Medicaid fraud, and two counts of obstruction of justice. Dean was charged after sending 843 nursing home patients to a warehouse in Tangipahoa Parish during Hurricane Ida. He was sentenced to three years’ probation and his 20-year-prison sentence was deferred.

President Joe Biden’s decision to drop out of the President’s race doesn’t change Republican Governor Jeff Landry’s mind on who will be the next president. Landry remains confident it will be GOP nominee Donald Trump. Landry told the Moon Griffon Show it doesn’t matter who the Democrats nominate…

Louisiana’s delegation to the Democratic National Convention has endorsed Vice President Kamala Harris as the Democratic Presidential nominee. Delegate and PSC Commissioner Davante Lewis says the Trump campaign message against Biden’s age and ability to carry out the job no longer works to the GOP’s advantage with Biden out of the race.
