The Pelican State has seen significant rainfall since Tuesday, and even more rain is expected. LSU Climatologist Barry Keim says rain chances are high again tomorrow and parishes along the coast could see locally heavy rainfall…

Keim says rainfall totals for the next 12 to 48 hours range from one to five inches. A flood watch is in effect for most of southeast Louisiana until 6 PM.

The U.S. Senate Banking Committee Heard testimony in Washington this morning about the unaffordability of flood insurance. Louisiana Senator John Kennedy voiced his frustration with the Risk Rating 2.0 formula that decides premiums and FEMA’s lack of transparency.

After a confirmed bomb threat at Grambling State this morning, students have been asked to shelter in place. Campus Police have also evacuated three buildings they include the Stewart Building, the Performing Arts Center and Adams Hall. Classes are being held online as a result.
