LSU Athletic Director Joe Alleva says they agree with the league’s concerns that on field celebrations can be unsafe with fans rushing onto the field.

The Louisiana Legislative Auditor’s office released a report today listing its concerns about how the state department of education is following through with its annual inspections of registered child care centers. Auditor Krista Baker-Hernandez says the department is not always pursing proper disciplinary measures…

The department of education says they agree with the auditor’s findings and most of the issues have been resolved.

State Police say a 76-year-old man was killed this morning while trying to cross LA 742 in St. Landry Parish. Troopers say 76-year-old Russell Zachary of Opelousas attempted to get out of the way of an approaching vehicle, but stumbled and fell into the path of the car. No charges have been filed against the driver.
