The Legislative Auditor says there’s some problems with child care standards in Louisiana. Auditor Krista Baker-Hernandez says the state lacks many of the nationally recognized regulations. She says the Department Education also lacked effective processes for investigating improprieties in caregiving.

A 28-year-old man has been arrested in connection with a double murder in Marksville over the weekend. Jimmy McGlory is suspected to have shot two other men outside of Borrel’s Lounge around 1AM Sunday.
