The state reports 348 new COVID-19 cases today. Total cases: 33,837. Total fatalities: 2,382, up by 31. Ventilator usage is down by 8 to 132. Hospitalizations have fallen below 1,100 for the first time since March, dropping significantly by 102 to 1,091.

The National Federation of Independent Business indicates optimism as Louisiana moves into phase one of economic reopening.  NFIB state director Dawn Starns says an uneven playing field on who can be open, as well as occupancy caps, are presenting a hurdle.
