The Caddo Parish community of Vivian is mourning the line-of-duty murder of police officer, Marc Brock. He was among the officers investigating a cyberstalking complaint Friday evening against 58-year-old Nicolas Alexander, when investigators say Alexander opened fire through the front door, killing Brock. Caddo Parish Commissioner Chris Kracman says Officer Brock accomplished much in his short time on Earth.

Last night, there was a candlelight vigil at the North Caddo football field.
Almost 800,000 Louisianans receive SNAP benefits and Gov. Jeff Landry says all of them are getting their full federal benefits for November. Some elderly and disabled participants will receive extra benefits after getting 25% of state-funded assistance Nov. 1-4. U.S. Agriculture Secretary Brook Rollins said federal benefits would be available today and the Louisiana Department of Health says they are preparing to distribute the full federal benefits today.
