There’s some more rough news for the Louisiana oil and gas industry. Moody’s Investors says the low oil prices will likely force another round of cuts from the drilling budgets of the largest companies next year. Oil prices are currently around the $47 per barrel mark. Moody’s included a US benchmark oil price of $52 per barrel in 2016.

It’s almost flu season again so that means it’s time to get your flu shot. The Center for Disease Control’s Flu Expert Michael Jhung says last year’s flu season was a rough one so if the vaccination is available, you should get one as soon as possible. He says this year’s flu shot will provide better protection from the virus than last year’s…:

Jhung says everyone needs to be vaccinated but those over 65 and children under five are at a high risk for catching the virus.

There were no jackpot winners in last night’s Powerball drawing. The big prize now goes to an estimated $208 million dollars for Saturday.
