State Police is investigating a fatal crash on I-10 eastbound near Butte La Rose in St. Martin Parish, where an 18-wheeler was engulfed in flames this morning. Master Trooper Brooks David (Dah-veed) says emergency crews needed several hours to clean up the mess which included a load of potatoes:

Officials confirmed one person was killed in the fiery crash. Traffic is still being diverted to I-49 Northbound, then to US 190 East.
Former LSU and pro Hall of Fame quarterback, Y.A. Tittle, passed away Sunday night at the age of 90, the school confirmed today. Tittle was a two-time All SEC quarterback when he played for LSU. He enjoyed his greatest team success by leading the Giants to three straight Eastern Division titles, passing for 86 touchdowns between 1961 and 1963.
