Shreveport Police are searching for the person responsible for the shooting death of one of their officers, 29-year-old Thomas LaValley and the FBI is now offering a $25,000 reward. Chief Willie Shaw says LaValley was responding to a suspicious person call when he confronted the suspect, 27-year-old Grover Cannon. The cop was shot several times and later died. Shaw calls Cannon a total coward for running from this horrific crime…:

Cannon was already wanted for attempted second degree murder and is now wanted for first degree murder.
Even though Governor Bobby Jindal did not make the cut for the prime time Republican presidential debate tonight, he will be participating in a smaller debate at 4pm for the candidates who didn’t make it for the main event. The campaign says the Louisiana Governor is prepping for the debate by hitting the gym and having a good meal.

Gas prices keep dropping. The American Automobile Association says the current statewide average for a gallon of regular is $2.37 which is 17 cents less than the month prior.
