State Senator Troy Carter, the second person to announce their run for Louisiana’s 2nd Congressional District receives an endorsement from outgoing Congressman Cedric Richmond. Political Analyst Clancy Dubos says there was talk of several people running to succeed Richmond but at the moment it appears as if it’s a two-person race for the 2nd Congressional District.
Last week Georgia’s Stacey Abrams endorsed Senator Karen Carter Peterson’s campaign.
Lieutenant General Russel Honore has been appointed to oversee the investigation of Capitol Security LSU Communications Professor Bob Mann says the investigation requires the combined efforts of several law enforcement agencies and Honore’s experience with both political parties makes him ideal for the job.
