The assistant police chief in Rayville has been charged with malfeasance in office. State Police says 43-year-old Czyz Williams allegedly sold firearms owned by Rayville P-D and said the money would go to crime prevention programs. Trooper Ryan Davis says Williams instead pocketed the money…

The tenth ranked LSU football team leaves for Nashville today where they’ll play 17th ranked Vanderbilt tomorrow. The Commodores are seventh in the nation in scoring, averaging 43 points a game. Tigers Coach Brian Kelly says the Tigers’ defense has to be disciplined….

The Tigers could be without two starters on defense as defensive tackle Bernard Gooden is doubtful with a collarbone injury and linebacker Whit Weeks is questionable with an ankle injury.
