WBRZ-TV has gotten its hands on the Lafourche Parish District Attorney Office’s own investigation of the fatal crash involving former LSU receiver Kyren Lacy and the D-A’s investigators say State Police’s crash report  contained several inconsistencies. Attorney General Liz Murrill will investigate State Police’s handling of the case, but at this time she doesn’t see wrongdoing on L-S-P’s part…

State Police charged Lacy with negligent homicide. Attorney Matthew Ory says Lacy  should not have been criminally charged.

The Louisiana Military Department breaks ground on the new National Guard Readiness Center in Lafayette. Lieutenant Colonel Noel Collins says it will be much bigger than the current readiness center that it’s replacing.

State Fire Marshal Spokesperson Ken Pastorick says C-P-S-C’s recommendation is based on a study that looked at cases of carbon monoxide entering homes in southeast Louisiana following Hurricane Ida in 2021.
