And yesterday in Hammond a 3-year-old toddler died from an accidental gunshot wound to the face. Deputies say the incident took place at a residence where the child found an unsecured firearm. Rayville Republican Julia Letlow officially qualified for re-election today as Louisiana’s fifth district congresswoman. Letlow left the Republican National Convention in Milwaukee so she can qualify in person at the State Archives Building in Baton Rouge.
